Obsession beats discipline - go all-in on your craft until you either die or get reborn.
Package Your Obsession Framework
Converting raw obsessive energy into a structured output that compounds over time. The obsession remains the fuel, but the container determines whether the energy dissipates or accumulates into something lasting.
How It Works
Obsession without direction consumes you from the inside. But obsession channeled into something that builds on itself like content, software, or an audience creates exponential returns. The energy is identical; the container determines the outcome. The package creates leverage and turns personal intensity into external value.
Components
Identify your core obsession, what you cannot stop doing or thinking about
Find the compounding container: daily content, a product or app, or a community
Create daily output that builds on previous work rather than starting fresh each time
Let the obsession drive production; do not try to force production to create obsession
Measure by compound metrics like audience growth, product improvement, or skill development
When to Use
When you have intense interest but lack focus or direction. When you are consuming obsessively but not creating anything. When energy feels scattered across multiple interests. When you want your work to outlast your daily effort.
When Not to Use
When you are still discovering what you are obsessed with and forcing a package would be premature. When forcing a package would kill the organic interest. When the obsession is too personal or raw to share productively.
Anti-Patterns to Avoid
Example
“A person obsessed with running creates a daily content stream about their runs. The content builds an audience of runners. The audience becomes the distribution for a running app they build. The app becomes a business. Each layer compounds on the previous: obsession to content to audience to product to company.”
