Obsession without direction will eat you alive
Evidence
Raw obsessive energy without output channel becomes self-destructive. The intensity must be directed into creation or movement. Obsession needs a container or it consumes the host.
Implication
If obsession is causing harm rather than progress, direction is missing. Find somewhere for the energy to go - create something, build something, move somewhere. Get the intensity out of your head and into the world.
Counter Belief
Sometimes unfocused exploration is necessary to find the right direction. Premature direction can waste obsession on the wrong thing. Some wandering is required.

Person obsesses over business ideas for months without starting any. Anxiety increases. Recognize: obsession without direction is eating them alive. Start the simplest version of any idea immediately.
